"Achu" Becomes New Coach of 3 de Noviembre Amidst Poor Season

Struggling Paraguayan club 3 de Noviembre has appointed Jorge Daniel Achucarro as their new head coach, marking the third managerial change this season. The team occupies the last position in the División Intermedia and is still seeking its first victory of the campaign.

Achucarro, known as "Achu," brings recent European experience from his time with Cerro Porteño's technical staff. He steps in to guide the "Tricolor" from the San Pablo neighborhood in an attempt to improve their dismal performance.

His debut match is scheduled for Saturday against the in-form Deportivo Santaní, as part of the fourteenth round of the second division tournament. The game will be held at River Plate's stadium, Jardines del Kelito.

3 de Noviembre, which earned promotion to the Intermedia after finishing as runners-up in the 2025 Primera División B and winning a playoff, began the year with José Martínez Jacquet, the same coach who led them to promotion. However, due to a poor start, Jacquet was replaced by Ángel Marcelo Martínez, who also failed to turn the team's fortunes around, leading to his eventual departure. The team's record so far includes seven draws and six losses, with 12 goals scored and 20 conceded.
