The initiative, particularly its focus on "Nâng cao năng lực, bảo đảm an toàn cho phụ nữ quân đội vì hòa bình và an ninh trong kỷ nguyên số" (Enhancing capacity, ensuring safety for women in the army for peace and security in the digital age), highlights Vietnam's strategic vision. By setting a target to equip 100% of female members with digital skills by 2030, the Ministry is proactively addressing the evolving nature of warfare and security, which increasingly involves information technology and cybersecurity. Currently, the Department for the Advancement of Women under the Ministry of National Defence is developing an Action Plan for the Advancement of Women and Gender Equality, implementing the Program on Women, Peace, and Security in the Army for the period 2026-2030 and setting a goal to equip 100% of female members with digital skills.
