Actor Giray Altınok has addressed claims that he filed a 1 million Turkish lira lawsuit against an individual for using his character's visuals and lines from the series 'Prens' on merchandise. The allegations surfaced after a seller reacted emotionally on social media, expressing distress over the potential legal action.

The seller, featured in a widely shared video, stated, "How much can I earn from you? I'm just trying to do my own thing. I'm struggling to hold back tears." This reaction highlighted the perceived disparity between the actor's alleged demand and the seller's small-scale operation.

Responding to the widespread social media discussion, Altınok issued a statement via his X account (formerly Twitter). He emphasized that copyright and intellectual property matters are managed by his legal team, not handled personally on a day-to-day basis. He also pointed out that production companies and broadcasters hold separate rights that must be protected.

"Friends, we do not personally follow copyright processes. There are lawyers who follow this," Altınok explained. "Therefore, we are not always aware of every process individually. Furthermore, production companies and channels have separate rights to protect regarding these contents." He clarified that, according to his information, no lawsuit for the claimed amount was filed by him. "However, please do not let the lady worry. You can be sure that the process will not reach this point. Regards," he added, aiming to de-escalate the situation.
