Actor Lee Yong-ju, Known for 'Blue Tower,' Dies of Heart Attack at 44

South Korean actor Lee Yong-ju, widely recognized for his role in the popular military sitcom 'Blue Tower,' has died at the age of 44. His passing was attributed to a heart attack, according to reports from the broadcasting industry on August 29.

News of his sudden death was shared by a friend on Lee's social media, stating, "We regret to announce his sudden passing. We hope many of you will remember his final journey." The post conveyed the shock and sorrow felt by those close to the actor.

Lee, who started his career as a model, debuted as an actor in the 2004 film 'Doma Ahn Jung-geun.' He appeared in various dramas, including 'Hello, Francesca,' 'Goong,' and the 'Rude Miss Young-ae' series. However, it was his portrayal of a naive new recruit in 'Blue Tower' that earned him significant public affection and cemented his place in the entertainment landscape.

His funeral arrangements were made at the funeral hall of Bundang Jesaeng Hospital, Room 5. The funeral procession is scheduled for August 31 at 6:30 AM, with the burial site at Seongnam City Funeral Culture Center.
