Actor Sha Xin's Son Accused of Online Scams and Threats

A controversy has erupted involving Shao Yixiang, the 22-year-old son of Taiwanese actor Sha Xin (now Sha Xiaodong), who is accused of online fraud and making threats. Multiple alleged victims have come forward, claiming Shao Yixiang used the alias "Yin Chu'an" on a dating platform.

Under the false pretense of being 18 years old with Korean heritage, he reportedly scammed individuals within the dating community, deceiving them into providing meals and financial support. In moments of anger, he is also accused of threatening to harm the friends and family of his alleged victims.

The victims have reportedly filed police reports and are organizing a "Victim Alliance" to pursue action. Sha Xin, who has transitioned from acting to the restaurant and direct sales industries, has largely withdrawn from the public eye. Through a friend, he issued a brief statement indicating he would look into the matter and respond later.

Sha Xin himself has a complex public record, including past involvement in a stock manipulation case for which he received a suspended sentence, a high-profile divorce involving domestic disputes, and a drunk driving incident in 2018. His restaurant businesses have reportedly all closed.
