Actors reveal how RTL's new series 'Specijalisti Zagreb' is made: target practice and good condition

RTL is set to launch its new crime series, 'Specijalisti Zagreb,' starting September 7th, promising viewers a compelling mix of humor, intricate criminal plots, and suspenseful investigations unfolding on the streets of Zagreb.

The series centers on four police inspectors, Zoran Jukić, Ana Kirin, Luka Horvat, and Toni Kovačić, each with distinct personalities. Their relationships, marked by both conflict and synergy, youth and experience, along with their personal storylines, will develop throughout the season. Each episode will present a self-contained case, ranging from corruption and greed to underworld disputes, all resolved through meticulous evidence gathering, witness interviews, and forensic analysis.

To achieve a high level of authenticity, the main actors participated in specialized training. This included sessions at a shooting range to familiarize themselves with firearms and safety procedures, as well as intensive driving practice for dynamic chase scenes. Actress Vini Jurčić, who plays senior inspector Ana Kirin, shared her surprise at discovering a talent for shooting, hitting the target with most of her shots during training. "I actually discovered some talent I had no idea I possessed, which is that shooting really suits me! Out of 13 shots, only one missed the center! I surprised myself! We had a great training, I was a real go-getter," she said.

Ivan Barišić, portraying the charismatic and unpredictable Toni Kovačić, a senior inspector from Split, expressed his long-held desire for such a dynamic role. He emphasized the importance of convincingly handling a firearm and apprehending suspects, noting the cast's effort to ensure their actions appear professional and meaningful to the audience. "We are trying to make everything we do make sense for the viewers and for us to look like real professionals in this criminal work of ours," he stated.
