Actress Bang Eun-hee discusses remarriage for son, acknowledges inability to be a father figure

South Korean actress Bang Eun-hee has spoken openly about her two previous marriages and divorces, sharing her personal reflections on a recent television broadcast.

During her appearance on MBN's 'Special World,' Bang admitted to experiencing two failed marriages but stated she has no regrets, particularly because she had her son from her first marriage. She explained that her second marriage, which occurred when her son was three years old, was influenced by his innocent request for a father. Bang married with the hope of providing her son with a paternal figure, but she eventually recognized that she could not truly fulfill that role.

When my son was three years old, his words, 'Please buy me a dad' at a toy store really struck me. When my son was nine, I did it with the thought, 'Won't he become a father?'

Bang recounted that she discussed the situation with her son when he was in middle school. With his permission, she made the difficult decision to separate from her second husband. She expressed deep gratitude for her son, who is currently living in the United States. Bang shared that her son now understands her struggles, telling her he realizes how hard she has worked throughout her life. Hearing these words deeply moved her.
