Actress Davina Karamoy Questioned by Police Over Hanania Group Umrah Fraud Case

Actress Davina Karamoy appeared before investigators at the Polda Metro Jaya on Thursday, June 18, 2026, to answer questions concerning an alleged fraud case involving umrah (minor pilgrimage) travel packages offered by PT Khasanah Tamah Internasional, also known as Hanania Group.

Karamoy arrived at the Directorate of General Criminal Investigation building around 12:50 PM WIB, accompanied by her legal team. Her questioning is part of a broader investigation into celebrities and influencers who had professional ties with Hanania Group. Police aim to understand the nature of these relationships, particularly focusing on endorsement deals.

According to Commissioner Andaru of the Public Information Sub-Directorate of Polda Metro Jaya's Public Relations Division, influencers previously questioned stated they received free umrah trips from Hanania Group. In exchange, they promoted the company's services on social media. "The influencers attended umrah for free due to these facilities. Then, they responded to the moment, uploading it to their social media for exposure," Andaru explained on June 11, 2026.

Investigators also revealed that some influencers received varying amounts of cash, and one celebrity had already surrendered Rp 30 million as evidence. Prior to Karamoy, police had questioned several other public figures, including Keanu Angelo, Thariq Halilintar, and Paula Verhoeven. Awkarin and Faisal Baguz Ibrahim had not yet responded to their summons.

The case originated from umrah travel packages advertised on social media for prices ranging from Rp 29 million to Rp 46 million. Customers made payments in February 2026 for departures scheduled between March and July 2026. However, the travel agency failed to send the pilgrims. The verified total loss in this case has reached Rp 4.2 billion, according to Commissioner Iman Imanuddin, Director of the General Criminal Investigation at Polda Metro Jaya.
