Actress Eyka Farhana credits family for extensive support during postpartum recovery

Malaysian actress Eyka Farhana has shared that she received substantial help from her family, in-laws, and grandmother during her postpartum period following the birth of her first child. The 31-year-old, whose real name is Wan Atiqa Farhana Wan Sarmizi, stated that while she utilized postpartum care services, her family members were her primary source of strength.

"Alhamdulillah, everything felt very beautiful and full of love," Eyka wrote on her Threads account. "Even with a postpartum caregiver, nothing compares to the presence of family, my husband, in-laws, and grandmother who looked after me and the baby." She expressed deep gratitude for a smooth delivery and recovery process that exceeded her expectations.

Eyka, who is married to professional footballer Akhyar Rashid, feels fortunate to be surrounded by people who actively care for her and her newborn. "I feel very grateful, loved, and truly lucky with everyone around me," she said.

The couple, who married on May 2, 2025, in a private ceremony in Ampang, welcomed a baby boy. Eyka is currently still in her confinement period.
