Actress Hwang Jung-eum to Revamp YouTube Channel After Two Months

Actress Hwang Jung-eum is taking a short break to refresh her YouTube channel, just two months after resuming activities on the platform. She announced on her channel that she will be taking a two-week hiatus to reorganize and prepare "more fun and new content."

Hwang stated, "I will return with a brighter and more cheerful image after carefully considering and preparing what kind of stories and content to show you." She aims to return with a renewed approach to her online presence.

The actress had previously faced controversy regarding embezzlement allegations. In 2022, she was accused of embezzling approximately 4.34 billion won from her family-owned entertainment company, Hunminjeongeum Entertainment, of which she held 100% ownership. She was subsequently sentenced to a suspended prison term.

Investigations revealed that she invested 4.2 billion won of the embezzled funds into cryptocurrency and used the remainder for taxes and credit card payments. Hwang later repaid the company for the funds used as advances in two installments in May and June of the previous year. Following the controversy, she went on a hiatus before relaunching her YouTube channel on May 19th, marking her return to public activity.
