Actress Min Ji-young Reveals Thyroid Cancer Recurrence, Continues World Travels

South Korean actress Min Ji-young has disclosed a challenging health update, revealing that cancer cells have been detected in the remaining portion of her thyroid gland. This news comes five years after she initially underwent surgery to remove the right half of her thyroid following a cancer diagnosis.

In a video shared on her YouTube channel, 'Min Ji-young TV,' the actress explained her current situation. "It's already been five years since I was diagnosed with thyroid cancer and had surgery to remove half of my right thyroid," she stated. She continued, "However, I have now been diagnosed with cancer in my left thyroid as well, which means I have not received a final 완치 (complete recovery) diagnosis."

Min Ji-young married show host Kim Hyung-gyun in 2017, and she first revealed her thyroid cancer diagnosis in 2021. The couple is currently undertaking a global journey in their campervan.
