Actress Oversees Removal of Father's 43-Year-Old Clinic Sign

Taiwanese entertainer Lin Yi-hsin recently oversaw the dismantling of her late father's clinic sign, a landmark that had stood for over 43 years in Tainan. Dr. Lin Chun-ming, a respected neurologist and Lin Yi-hsin's father, passed away in April from prostate cancer at the age of 73. He had dedicated more than four decades to his medical practice.

The clinic, located on Ximen Road in Tainan, was not just a place of healing for the local community but also a significant part of Lin Yi-hsin's childhood. She shared that she grew up in the clinic, making its closure and the removal of its sign a deeply emotional experience.

During the sign's removal on July 27, Lin Yi-hsin was present, personally supervising the process. She described the experience as filled with reluctance and sadness, stating, "We grew up there since we were young." The sign represented not only her father's professional legacy but also a shared memory for many Tainan residents.

Despite her personal feelings of attachment, Lin Yi-hsin expressed a desire to approach the situation with a calmer state of mind. She views the removal as a way to accompany her father in bidding a final farewell to the clinic that was the focus of his life's work. The clinic's closure marks the end of an era for the local community and for Lin Yi-hsin's family.
