Adamawa APC denies plan to replace Galadima

The Adamawa State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has firmly refuted claims that it intends to replace its 2027 governorship candidate, Alhaji Tijani Galadima. Dogo Victor, the party's Publicity Secretary, dismissed the reports as baseless allegations. He asserted that Galadima is the undisputed candidate and that any perception of his absence from the state is part of a strategic plan.

Victor explained that Galadima is actively accompanying Governor Ahmadu Fintiri on his state tours. This, he said, is a deliberate strategy to introduce the candidate to the grassroots population before the official election campaign begins. The party spokesman also debunked suggestions that businessman Abdulrahman Haske is being considered as a replacement, reaffirming confidence in their current candidate.

We are hearing all these allegations over plans to change Galadima; there is nothing like that. He is the 2027 governorship candidate of the ruling APC in Adamawa State, take it from me as the spokesman of the party in Adamawa State.

However, the party faces internal dissent, with a State Executive Committee member, speaking anonymously, expressing concerns about Galadima's public appeal. This official alleged that Galadima's candidacy was imposed and warned of potential electoral challenges if broader support is not cultivated. Despite these reservations, Victor maintained that Galadima has no internal obstacles within the APC and remains the party's chosen candidate for the governorship contest.
