Adamus Resources mining leases revoked; company owes $2.56m fees, GH¢377m royalties

Ghana's Minister of Lands and Natural Resources, Emmanuel Armah-Kofi Buah, has confirmed the revocation of three mining leases previously held by Adamus Resources Limited. This decision aligns with the findings of an Inter-Ministerial Committee tasked with reviewing the company's petition against an earlier revocation.

The committee's final report indicated that Adamus Resources Limited has outstanding financial obligations. The company reportedly owes $2.56 million in mineral rights fees, alongside GH¢377 million in royalties and taxes. These substantial debts appear to be a primary factor in the minister's decision to uphold the lease revocations.
