ADC Assures on Victory for Atiku Abubakar in the 2027 Presidential Election

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Benue State is confident that presidential candidate Atiku Abubakar will win the upcoming 2027 election, according to party governorship candidate Herman Hembe. Hembe shared his party's "permutations" suggesting that votes from the southern part of the country will be divided between Peter Obi and Bola Tinubu, leaving Abubakar to secure victories in the three northern geopolitical zones.

Hembe urged party members to actively campaign for all ADC candidates in the presidential election, predicting a "bandwagon effect" that would positively influence subsequent elections. "Our hardest job is to work and ensure that our party wins the presidential and national assembly elections, then, we will just go and sleep because that victory will have a positive effect on our election," he said.

During the event, Hembe also unveiled his deputy governorship candidate, John Abba. He noted that the selection process, which involved a committee consultation, had the endorsement of the national chairman, Senator David Mark, and was conducted transparently. Hembe also reiterated his commitment to serving only one term to complete the eight-year tenure for the Jechira zone, aiming to make history by handing over power to the Benue South senatorial district.
