ADC crisis ends in Kaduna as Ashiru reconciles factional leaders

A leadership crisis within the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Kaduna State has been resolved following a reconciliation meeting brokered by governorship candidate Hon. Isa Ashiru. The three-hour meeting brought together factional chairmen and key stakeholders, aiming to unite the party ahead of the 2027 general elections. Elder Patrick Ambut, one of the factional chairmen, praised Ashiru's leadership, calling the meeting a turning point for the Kaduna chapter. He expressed confidence that all factions would now work together for the party's success. "The success of the ADC in the forthcoming general elections is our priority, and the issue of factionalisation in Kaduna has now been laid to rest," Ambut stated. Tijjani Mustapha, another leader present, described the meeting as cordial and productive, with resolutions to be detailed in a forthcoming communiqué. Ben Bako highlighted that leadership is about uniting people towards a common goal, which he believes was achieved. The reconciliation is expected to foster internal cohesion and enhance the ADC's readiness for future political engagements in Kaduna State.
