ADC steps up mobilisation with door-to-door campaign

As the June 20 Ekiti State governorship election approaches, the African Democratic Congress (ADC) is ramping up its mobilization efforts. The party's national body is spearheading a door-to-door campaign to encourage eligible residents to vote for its candidate, Dare Bejide.

The ADC has established several committees, including a dedicated Contact and Mobilisation Committee. This group is tasked with voter sensitization and direct engagement, aiming to clearly explain the ADC's manifesto. Key areas of focus include education, healthcare, agriculture, and youth employment, addressing voter concerns on these critical sectors.

To ensure comprehensive coordination, the ADC has formed a national campaign council and various specialized committees, comprising over 100 members. These bodies are designed to manage grassroots outreach, media engagement, and policy communication effectively as the election draws nearer. The party has adopted a decentralized structure to ensure campaign activities resonate with local issues.

Each committee operates with a defined mandate, while local coordinators are empowered to adapt strategies to their specific areas. The media and publicity committee will handle press relations and social media, the policy and manifesto committee will detail campaign promises, and youth and women leaders will organize rallies and voter education. Logistics and security sub-committees are also in place to manage campaign materials and ensure compliance with electoral guidelines.
