Adeleke commends Oyebamiji’s call for peace

Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke has lauded the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate, Bola Oyebamiji, for advocating peace following the recent gubernatorial election. Adeleke stated that Oyebamiji's call for peace set a positive tone after a campaign season marked by intense rhetoric and an election period that inflicted trauma and violence on the state's residents.

Adeleke, who also met with President Bola Tinubu, characterized Oyebamiji's peace advocacy as a significant positive development for the people of Osun. He highlighted that his administration has consistently rejected violence as a political tool, even under considerable pressure. The governor recounted personal difficulties in restraining his supporters from retaliating against attacks, noting that the Accord party lost 15 members, with 20 injured and several others detained by the police.

He extended an invitation to opposition leaders, including Mr. Gboyega Oyetola and Bola Oyebamiji, to join hands in advancing the state's progress, asserting that all stakeholders are crucial to the Osun project.
