Adeleke, others unhurt as stage collapses at Osun political rally

A political rally in Ijebu-Jesa, Osun State, was disrupted when a podium collapsed while Governor Ademola Adeleke, his deputy Kola Adewusi, and other dignitaries were seated. The incident occurred during the inauguration of the Imole canvassers for the Obokun/Oriade Federal Constituency. Video footage shows the podium caving in as the event anchor was about to introduce the next segment. Fortunately, no casualties were reported. Security personnel quickly assisted those on the podium out of the rubble, and the event resumed shortly after. A source at the event confirmed the disruption but emphasized that the program continued. The deputy spokesperson to the governor, Oladele Bamiji, downplayed the severity, stating that the event proceeded smoothly and the governor later attended another engagement in Odo-Otin Local Government Area, underscoring that no injuries occurred.
