Adeleke to Osun Voters: Ignore Threats, Troop Out to Vote Accord on August 15

Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke has called on residents to disregard threats from the opposition All Progressives Congress (APC) and participate in the August 15 election to secure his re-election. Addressing a church service in Osogbo, Adeleke accused the APC, led by Marine Minister Gboyega Oyetola and candidate Bola Oyebamiji, of instigating violence because their rejection by the populace was evident.

He urged voters to "punish those killing and maiming our people by voting against them on August 15th," emphasizing that his administration prioritizes the safety and protection of its citizens.

Adeleke expressed confidence in his re-election, asserting that his administration's accomplishments in workers' welfare, health, education, infrastructure, and agriculture speak for themselves. He positioned himself and his party as representing "the light" against "darkness," urging Osun people to rise up and fight for their right to vote and be voted for.

The governor's remarks followed a prayer session led by resident pastor Adekunle Oluseyi, who prayed for God's blessings and wisdom for Adeleke to continue leading the state. The election on August 15 is set to be a key contest between Adeleke and the APC candidate, Oyebamiji.
