Adrian Mutu’s wife Sandra makes television debut as presenter

Sandra Mutu is stepping in front of the cameras after years of choosing to remain a discreet presence behind them.

The former Miss Romania will make her television debut as presenter of Retrospectiva Știrilor Antena Stars, which airs every Saturday and Sunday at 9 a.m. She accepted the offer after producers and television channels had courted her for years.

Mutu, 33, has been married to former Romania striker Adrian Mutu for more than a decade. The couple have a nine-year-old son, Tiago. She won the Miss Romania title in 2010, when she was 17.

“This is a completely new experience for me, and I can truly see it as a challenge. Honestly, I thought about it for a while before saying yes, but I decided it was time to leave my comfort zone. I also received a great deal of support from the people who really matter to me, and that gave me courage. At the moment, I have a lot of emotions, which I want to turn into something constructive.
