After a Decade of Galloping, Robin Godel and Grandeur de Lully Will Write Their Epilogue in Aachen

Swiss equestrian Robin Godel and his long-time partner, the 18-year-old horse Grandeur de Lully, are set to compete in their final championship together. The pair will mark the end of a decade-long career at the World Championships in Aachen, Germany, a prestigious event often called the "Wimbledon of horses."

After the championships, Grandeur de Lully will retire to Estavayer-le-Lac. The horse, described as sure-footed and intelligent, though a bit timid, will be among the older competitors at the event. The World Championships in Aachen are second only to the Olympic Games in terms of prestige and participation in the equestrian world.

Godel, from Fribourg, recently transported his horse from his home in Donatyre, near Avenches, to Aachen. He was accompanied by his teammate Nadja Minder and her horse Top Job’s Jalisco. This journey marks the culmination of a significant chapter for the pair, who have shared a decade of competition and success.
