After Pitbull show – Malinauskas' verdict: performer excellent, organization worst ever seen

The organization of a recent Pitbull concert at Darius and Girėnas Stadium has drawn sharp criticism from blogger Skirmantas Malinauskas, who described the event's management as the worst he has ever experienced.

Malinauskas arrived early to avoid difficulties entering the stadium but still faced significant delays, noting that entry typically takes less than an hour for major concerts by artists like Ed Sheeran or Justin Timberlake. He observed that crowd control at the entrances was chaotic, with attendees unsure where to go and people cutting lines. The intense heat, with temperatures reaching over 32 degrees Celsius, exacerbated the situation, leaving people standing in crowded, unmoving lines.

A major issue highlighted by Malinauskas and other attendees was the critical shortage of drinking water. By late evening, all water supplies within the stadium had reportedly run out. "You want to buy water, and there is none inside. Nowhere, it ran out," Malinauskas stated, expressing disbelief that such a high-profile and expensive concert could suffer from such basic logistical failures.

He suggested that organizers should have hired more professional security personnel and ensured adequate water supplies, even if the profit margin is smaller compared to alcohol sales. Due to the long waits and the heat, Malinauskas and his companions left before the concert's end, unable to even use the restroom and return in time. Despite these severe organizational shortcomings, Malinauskas commended the artist himself, stating, "Pitbull's show was excellent. His band, dancers, screens, and everything else he did, I think, should have pleased everyone."
