After raid, weapons and one million pesos found at Jalisco center; wanted man arrested

A rehabilitation center in the Oblatos neighborhood of Guadalajara, Jalisco, was raided and subsequently closed by authorities after a citizen complaint alleged irregularities within the facility. The operation led to the seizure of over one million pesos in cash and multiple weapons.

The raid, conducted on August 6 by investigative police and other security personnel, was prompted by a complaint from a man who stated he entered the center to check on his brother, who he claimed was admitted without his consent months prior. During the search, officers confiscated a revolver, two brass knuckles, a knife, three switchblades, a machete with reddish stains, and a stun gun.

Authorities also secured cell phones, a hard drive, and a significant amount of cash totaling 1,220,487 pesos. Municipal inspections revealed that the center was overcrowded, with only 126 beds available but housing 150 men, three transgender women, nine male adolescents, and five adult men with disabilities.

During the operation, authorities cross-referenced the identities of the center's residents with databases of missing persons and arrest warrants. This check led to the apprehension of José de Jesús 'N', who was wanted for fraud. While being interviewed by investigators, the individuals at the rehabilitation center stated they were not being held against their will and were not victims of any crimes.
