After Storm: Fire Department Reports Nearly 200 Incidents in Singen Neighborhood

Following a severe thunderstorm that struck the Singen-Bohlingen neighborhood, the local fire department is engaged in extensive operations, responding to nearly 200 emergency sites. Fire Chief Mario Dutzi stated that these numerous locations require systematic attention, with the duration of the response still uncertain.

The storm, which featured strong winds, caused significant damage, including the uncovering of approximately 100 house roofs and damage to buildings. Numerous trees were also felled, blocking roads and complicating access.

There are around 200 emergency sites. These must now be dealt with one by one. How long that will take is not foreseeable.

With rain expected to continue, firefighters are prioritizing the securing of damaged roofs to prevent further water damage to homes. The neighborhood of Bohlingen has been cordoned off, accessible only to residents and emergency personnel.

During the storm, one person sustained injuries and was transported to a local clinic. Details regarding the individual's age or the severity of their injuries have not yet been released. Authorities are still assessing the full extent of the damage caused by the severe weather event.
