After suspicious photo, US influencer's car with two children crashes into a tree

An aspiring social media influencer and model, Jesher Rivera-Barreto, 31, faces multiple charges after allegedly crashing her vehicle with two young children inside while driving under the influence. The incident occurred Saturday night in New York.

Prior to the crash, Rivera-Barreto reportedly posted photos on social media showing her consuming alcoholic beverages. Approximately two hours later, she is suspected of placing her infant son, who recently celebrated his first birthday, and his four-year-old brother into the car before driving. She then entered the vehicle herself and drove off.

The crash happened on a highway when the allegedly intoxicated mother lost control of the car, veering off the road and colliding with a tree. Rivera-Barreto and both children were transported to NYU Langone Hospital in Patchogue for treatment of minor injuries. Following medical attention, the children were released into the custody of their father.

According to police, Rivera-Barreto was arrested and subsequently charged with driving while intoxicated with a child in the vehicle, endangering the welfare of a child, and driving while intoxicated. She was held overnight and appeared in court on Monday, where the charges were formally presented. Rivera-Barreto's social media presence typically features photos from the gym, bikini shots by the pool or beach, and provocative modeling sessions.
