Spain's national football coach Luis de la Fuente visited the Las Rozas area of Madrid on Sunday, offering support to residents displaced by devastating wildfires. De la Fuente, who recently led Spain to a World Cup victory, expressed solidarity with those affected by the fires.

"It is everyone's obligation to help and encourage them," De la Fuente stated. "What we want is to try to bring joy, even for a few hours, to people going through such a difficult time. It is an honor for us to be here. It makes us more human."

The coach stressed the importance of prioritizing human lives amidst the crisis. "Now is the time to give the greatest importance to human lives," he added. "All of Spain is thinking of them. They have the support of the entire country, the same support we have when we compete in football."

Many residents found temporary shelter at the 'La Maravilla' sports center after being evacuated from their homes. Spanish media reported that over 116,000 people nationwide have either left their homes or are restricted in their movements due to the ongoing situation.
