Agrinio: Mother and child hospitalized after car plunges into ravine

A mother and her child have been hospitalized following a dramatic car accident in Agrinio, Greece, where their vehicle fell into a ravine. The incident took place on Tuesday evening in the Agia Sophia of Thermos area, near the local cemetery, causing alarm among residents.

The car reportedly went off the road under unclear circumstances, plunging approximately 30 meters into dense vegetation below. Despite the severity of the fall, both occupants were fortunate to escape serious injury.

Bystanders who witnessed the car disappear into the ravine quickly alerted emergency services. Firefighters from the Thermos Firefighting Station and police officers from the Thermos Police Department responded promptly to assist in the rescue operation.
