Aguilas Cibaeñas announce coaching staff for 2026-2027 Lidom season

The Aguilas Cibaeñas have finalized their coaching staff for the upcoming 2026-2027 Liga de Béisbol Profesional de la República Dominicana (Lidom) season, with Luis "Pipe" Urueta at the helm. The team's leadership has assembled a group focused on comprehensive player development, aiming to secure another championship.

Key figures include the return of Joel Noboa as bench coach. Former outfielder Melky Cabrera will take on a dual role as assistant coach and outfield instructor. The pitching staff will be led by Cuban coach Yunesky Maya, supported by assistants José Zapata and Julio Valdez, who will also manage the bullpen.

Offensive coaching duties fall to Ricardo Nanita as hitting coach, with Fred Landers as his assistant. Base running and infield instruction will be handled by TJ Peña, who will also coach third base. Andy Fermín will manage first base and coordinate field operations. The main technical group is further supported by Junior Fermín as instructor, Fernando Hernández as pitching mentor, and Adrián Abreu as catching coach.

The Liga Paralela (parallel league) staff will be managed by Yovanny Cuevas, with Anthony Domínguez as assistant and Andrés López as pitching coach. A support team for batting practice includes Roddy Silverio, Domingo Asencio, Claudio Encarnación, Juan Bautista, and Héctor Contreras. The fall-winter baseball season is scheduled to commence on October 16 with three games.
