Air Serbia Reroutes Catania Flights Due to Mount Etna Activity

Air Serbia announced it is rerouting its flights between Belgrade and Catania to Palermo Airport. This change is a direct response to ongoing air traffic disruptions caused by volcanic activity from Mount Etna.

The airline's flights JU438 and JU439, initially planned for Monday, August 10th, will now operate on Tuesday, August 11th. Passengers booked on these routes will travel to and from Palermo Airport instead of Catania.

To assist affected travelers, Air Serbia will arrange bus transfers between Catania and Palermo airports. The revised schedule includes flight JU4438 from Belgrade to Palermo departing at 13:35 local time, with a bus transfer to Catania Airport at 17:15. Flight JU4439 from Palermo to Belgrade is set to depart at 16:15 local time, preceded by a bus transfer from Catania Airport at 09:30.
