Airport Tram Line Reopens, Service to Resume Saturday

The tram connection to Tallinn Airport and Ülemiste City has been officially restored, marking a significant improvement in public transport accessibility for the area. The line, which had been under reconstruction, was celebrated on Thursday, July 30th, in Ülemiste City.

Residents and visitors will be able to utilize the tram service starting Saturday, August 1st. This reopening is facilitated by the completion of the underpass tunnel for the Rail Baltic passenger terminal and the construction of a parallel track to the airport, completed last year.

Two tram lines, T2 and T4, will serve the route, each running at 10-minute intervals. One line will connect the airport to Kopli, while the other will run to Tondi, providing comprehensive coverage across different parts of the city. This dual-line service is expected to enhance connectivity and ease of travel for those using public transportation to reach the airport or the rapidly developing Ülemiste City.
