AIT to Host Study Abroad Fair Highlighting AI, Semiconductor Opportunities in U.S.

The American Institute in Taiwan (AIT) is set to host an "Education & Innovation Fair" on September 5 in Taipei, aiming to connect Taiwanese students with U.S. higher education opportunities. The event, titled "Freedom 250: Education & Innovation Fair," will feature representatives from top American universities, with a special emphasis on STEM fields including artificial intelligence, semiconductors, engineering, cybersecurity, and robotics.

The fair will be held from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Taipei Cultural and Creative Park. It offers a free opportunity for students, parents, and educators to engage directly with U.S. school officials. Attendees can gather information on application processes, scholarship availability, and unique academic programs. Interactive booths will provide resources, and one-on-one meetings with university representatives will be available.

The exhibition will feature representatives from top American universities, introducing opportunities for studying in the United States, with a special focus on STEM fields such as artificial intelligence, semiconductors, engineering, information security, and robotics.

In addition to the exhibition, the event will include informational seminars. These sessions will cover scholarship opportunities offered by Taiwanese ministries and private foundations, details on U.S. student visa policies, and guidance from EducationUSA advisors on navigating the U.S. school application process. AIT highlighted the fair as part of the broader U.S.-Taiwan collaboration in education and talent development.

This fair coincides with AIT's planned activities for the same week, including a Workforce Summit focused on semiconductor talent cultivation and a networking reception during the SEMICON Taiwan exhibition. These events aim to bridge Taiwan's talent development ecosystem with industry leaders in both the U.S. and Taiwan.
