Aiyedatiwa urges Nigerians to celebrate loved ones while alive

Ondo State Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa has called on Nigerians to celebrate their loved ones while they are still alive, allowing them to experience the affection and appreciation shown by family and friends. He made this appeal on Saturday at the 80th birthday thanksgiving service for Special Apostle Titus Ogunseye, held in Ikeja, Lagos.

Most of the time, when we lose our parents, we organise elaborate celebrations after they have gone, and they do not have the opportunity to witness the love being shown to them. Today is different because Baba is alive to see everyone who has come to celebrate him.

The governor, who chaired the event, noted that many people organize elaborate tributes only after their loved ones have passed away. He contrasted this with the current celebration, stating, "Today is different because Baba is alive to see everyone who has come to celebrate him."

Aiyedatiwa described Ogunseye's attainment of 80 years as a special blessing, thanking God for preserving the cleric's life in good health. He reflected on the wisdom that comes with age, calling it the "true glory of old age." The governor commended Ogunseye for his "lifetime of resilience, compassion, prayer and service," recognizing his positive influence on many through his work as a husband, father, and apostle.

Also present at the event, Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Mudashiru Obasa, extended his congratulations to the octogenarian. He prayed for continued good health, divine strength, peace, and many more years of fruitful service to humanity for Ogunseye. The celebrant's son, Apostle Damilola Ogunseye, attributed the success of the celebration to God in his vote of thanks.
