AKOM Announces Day-by-Day: How Will the Weather Be in Istanbul This Week?

Istanbul residents can expect a week of predominantly sunny weather, according to the latest forecast from the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality's (İBB) Disaster Management and Risk Reduction Department (AKOM).

Throughout the upcoming week, no precipitation is anticipated across the megacity. While northwesterly winds, known as Poyraz, are expected to blow intermittently and strongly (20-50 km/h), they will help temper extreme heat. Despite this moderating effect, temperatures are projected to climb as high as 33 degrees Celsius.

On Monday, August 3, the temperature is expected to reach 31°C during the day, with a morning low of 24°C and a nighttime low of 22°C. Humidity levels will fluctuate between 45% and 80%, and the sea temperature is currently 24°C.

The forecast details daily highs and lows from August 4 to August 9: Tuesday will see a high of 33°C and a low of 23°C. Wednesday and Thursday will be slightly cooler, with highs of 32°C and 30°C, respectively, and lows around 23°C and 22°C. Friday, Saturday, and Sunday are expected to have highs ranging from 31°C to 33°C and lows between 22°C and 23°C, all under clear or partly cloudy skies.
