Meteorology Forecasts Scattered Showers and Thunderstorms for Northern Turkey on August 3

Turkey's General Directorate of Meteorology (MGM) has issued its weather forecast for August 3, 2026. The northern parts of the country and the inland Mediterranean regions are expected to see scattered and sometimes heavy cloud cover, with chances of rain and thunderstorms.

Specifically, the Marmara region's north, the inland areas of the Western Black Sea, the Black Sea coast, and the inner parts of Antalya and Mersin, along with Ardahan and the northern parts of Çorum and Kars, are predicted to experience rainfall and thunderstorms.

Elsewhere, the weather is anticipated to be mostly clear with minimal cloud cover. Temperatures are expected to rise slightly in inland areas and will generally hover around or slightly above seasonal averages across the country. Winds will predominantly be from the north, with occasional moderate gusts in the southern and eastern regions.
