Akpabio, Uzodimma arrive as APC holds Osun mega rally

High-profile leaders of Nigeria's ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) have arrived in Osogbo, Osun State, for a major rally. Senate President Godswill Akpabio and Hope Uzodimma, chairman of the Progressive Governors’ Forum, are among the dignitaries attending the event.

The rally is a crucial part of the APC's final push to mobilize support for its governorship candidate, Bola Oyebamiji. Scheduled for the last day of the official campaign period, the gathering aims to energize grassroots supporters across Osun State's 30 local government areas.

The APC leadership is using this final stretch to consolidate support for Oyebamiji, who emerged as the party's candidate after the governorship primary. Visiting governors and leaders are also engaging with party members and residents from their home states living in Osun to garner additional backing. The party hopes to translate these campaign activities into votes on election day.

Oyebamiji, a former Managing Director of the National Inland Waterways Authority, has campaigned on a platform of returning the state to development. The mega rally is expected to be the APC's major show of strength before the campaign window closes.
