Alausa hails Tinubu, security forces over rescue of abducted Oyo pupils, teachers

Nigeria's Minister of Education, Dr. Tunji Alausa, has lauded President Bola Tinubu, the Oyo State Government, and the nation's security agencies for the successful rescue of pupils and teachers abducted from the Oriire community in Ogbomoso, Oyo State. Alausa hailed the operation as a major triumph against criminal elements and a clear testament to the government's dedication to ensuring the safety of schoolchildren.

In a statement released on Saturday, the minister emphasized that the safe return of the victims underscores the Federal Government's steadfast resolve to protect every Nigerian child and maintain schools as secure environments for learning. He congratulated President Tinubu on this significant achievement, commending his leadership and commitment to deploying all available resources until the abducted individuals were freed.

The successful rescue of these innocent children and their teachers is a moment of great relief for the nation. Special commendation was reserved for the Nigerian Armed Forces, the Department of State Services (DSS), the Nigeria Police Force, and other involved security and intelligence agencies. Alausa described their professionalism, courage, and coordinated actions as crucial to the successful rescue of the victims and the apprehension of suspected kidnappers without any harm coming to the children or their teachers.
