Albares Meets Latin American Ministers to Advance Madrid Summit Preparations

Spanish Foreign Minister José Manuel Albares has engaged with several Latin American foreign ministers to advance preparations for the upcoming Ibero-American Summit. The crucial meeting is set to take place in Madrid on November 4 and 5.

Albares held discussions with his counterparts from Bolivia, Chile, and Peru. He also met with Omar Bula Escobar, the newly appointed Minister of Foreign Affairs of Colombia, extending congratulations on his behalf. These meetings focused on bilateral relations and the specific agenda for the Madrid summit.

Additionally, Albares spoke by phone with Venezuela's Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Trade, Félix Plasencia. During their conversation, Albares conveyed Spain's willingness to support the Venezuelan people in their humanitarian response to recent earthquakes.
