Alen Vitasović clarifies health scare, says he suffered arrhythmia, not heart attack

Croatian musician Alen Vitasović caused concern among his fans after posting a video on social media that he captioned "Operation saving soldier Alen after a heart attack." The video depicted him receiving an injection from his daughter, Mia, who is a nurse.

However, Vitasović later clarified in the comments section of the post that he had not suffered a heart attack but rather experienced severe arrhythmia. This clarification eased the initial alarm raised by his dramatic announcement.

This incident brings to light Vitasović's history of significant health challenges. Several years ago, he narrowly survived a life-threatening condition involving esophageal varices and severe bleeding. He spent three months in the hospital, followed by a lengthy rehabilitation period, crediting Dr. Zlatko Bulić and his intensive care team for saving his life.

Vitasović has been candid about his past struggles with alcohol, discussing his experiences in interviews. He has spoken about how societal acceptance of drinking, combined with the pressures of fame, trauma, and personal emotional struggles, contributed to his addiction. He has undergone multiple treatments for alcoholism, emphasizing that his decision to seek help was voluntary and supported by his family and friends. Despite past relapses, he has consistently aimed to overcome his addiction.
