Alexandra Căpitănescu to perform at Rockstadt Extreme Fest alongside The Prodigy and Marilyn Manson

Romania's vibrant heavy metal scene will be well-represented at the 2026 Rockstadt Extreme Fest, with the addition of five new Romanian artists to the already impressive lineup. The festival, recognized as Eastern Europe's largest heavy metal gathering, is set to take place in its new location in Ghimbav, Brașov.

Among the new additions is Alexandra Căpitănescu, whose performance at the Eurovision Song Contest earlier this year marked a significant career milestone. Representing Romania, she secured third place with her song "Choke Me," achieving the country's highest-ever score in the competition. Her presence at Rockstadt Extreme Fest signifies a notable moment, bringing her post-Eurovision visibility to the heavy metal stage.

The festival's organizers have also confirmed Pârnaie, Reverse The Moment, Rotheads, and Underwaves. These acts showcase the breadth and dynamism of Romania's extreme and alternative music landscape. Pârnaie brings hardcore punk energy with antifascist lyrics, while Reverse The Moment blends metalcore, alternative metal, and synthwave. Rotheads are known for their old-school death metal sound, and Underwaves offer a mix of alternative metal and modern metalcore influences.

This diverse selection underscores Rockstadt Extreme Fest's commitment to showcasing both international headliners and the burgeoning talent within Romania.
