Alexis Tsipras Launches New Political Movement in Thissio

Former Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras officially launched his new political movement at an event in Thissio, Athens. The gathering attracted a significant number of familiar faces from the Greek political landscape, signaling support for Tsipras's new venture.

Attendees included former SYRIZA ministers Panagiotis Kouroublis and Kostas Gavroglou, along with George Vassiliadis, a close associate of the former prime minister. The presence of Dionysis Temponeras, who recently resigned from SYRIZA, was also noted. Several figures from the New Left and PASOK parties, who have previously been associated with Tsipras, were also in attendance.

The event saw participation from individuals such as Athena Linou, Yiannis Sarakiotis, and Marizeta Antonopoulou. Antonis Saulidis, formerly a member of PASOK's political council, also attended. Nikos Bistis, who left the New Left, and Nikos Belavilas were present, as was actor Marios Athanasiou. The event was hosted by actors Marianna Toumassatou and Emilios Heilakis, underscoring the broad appeal of Tsipras's new political initiative.
