Algeria's Hydraulics Minister Pushes for Water Sector Digitization at Algiers Fair

Minister of Hydraulics Lounès Bouzegza has stressed the critical need for digitalization within the water sector to tackle pressing water security challenges. He made these remarks while inaugurating the 21st edition of the International Water Equipment, Technologies, and Services Fair, known as SIEE-Pollutec, held at the Safex Exhibition Center in Algiers.

The fair, which runs until June 4, has attracted 170 exhibitors from around 15 different countries. This international gathering provides a platform for showcasing the latest advancements and services in water management and treatment technologies.

Bouzegza's emphasis on digitization signals a forward-looking approach to managing water resources. In a region often facing water scarcity, leveraging technology and digital solutions is seen as key to ensuring efficient distribution, conservation, and sustainable use of water supplies. The event aims to foster collaboration and innovation among industry professionals and international participants.
