Algerian club disputes player's return to Tunisian side

A contract dispute has erupted between Algerian club Mouloudia Club d'Alger (MCA) and Tunisian side Espérance de Tunis over the player Youcef Belaïli. Hours after Espérance announced activating Belaïli's contract following the lifting of his sanction, MCA emerged to claim the player had also signed with their club and vowed to defend their legal rights.

In a statement released Friday, MCA's management asserted that Belaïli officially signed a contract with them, possessing "official documentation" and a "contractual relationship" compliant with legal provisions. The club clarified that their prior statements about a final agreement were based on this signed contract, not mere verbal commitments.
