ALPHi's 'ECG Buddy' adopted by 120 hospitals in 15 months

ALPHi, an artificial intelligence healthcare company, has achieved a significant milestone with its AI electrocardiogram analysis solution, 'ECG Buddy.' The software has now been adopted by more than 120 hospitals nationwide, just 15 months after its official launch in April 2025.

This expansion includes a recent supply contract with Severance Hospital, a major medical institution. This agreement signifies ALPHi's successful entry into the competitive market for top-tier general hospitals. The company aims to accelerate its global outreach, building on its established credibility.

ECG Buddy is a software medical device that uses AI to analyze 12-lead electrocardiogram images. It rapidly provides key rhythm classifications and cardiac-related quantitative indicators. The solution has secured regulatory approvals not only from South Korea's Ministry of Food and Drug Safety but also from major international markets including Europe (CE MDR), Australia, Taiwan, Vietnam, and New Zealand.

Further validation of ALPHi's technology comes from its inclusion in the international academic journal 'npj Digital Medicine' in 2026. The published research presented results from a multi-center independent external verification study using data from large U.S. academic medical institutions, confirming the solution's performance.

ALPHi CEO Kim Joong-hee expressed his ambition to accelerate expansion into domestic top-tier general hospitals and global markets, leveraging the Severance Hospital contract. The company also plans to participate in the European Society of Cardiology (ESC) Congress this month to further its international market strategy.
