Amber Liu flies to Vietnam to celebrate Chi Pu's debut album launch

Vietnamese singer Chi Pu marked a significant milestone in her career by launching her debut album, EXs, with an exhibition and listening event in Ho Chi Minh City on June 12. The project, which she described as a nine-year "pregnancy," signifies a major achievement after a previous album release was canceled in 2022.

The event space was meticulously designed, featuring various zones that showcased the concepts behind each song. A host of Vietnamese celebrities, including Ho Ngoc Ha, MONO, Dieu Nhi, and Miss Ky Duyen, attended to support Chi Pu. The biggest surprise for fans was the appearance of Amber Liu, a close friend from the reality show "Sisters Who Make Waves 2023," who flew in from abroad to celebrate with Chi Pu.

Amber Liu not only attended to show her support but also joined Chi Pu on stage for a live performance of their duet, "Tin Duoc Khong" (Can You Believe It?). The collaboration was met with enthusiastic cheers from the audience. Liu shared that she readily accepted Chi Pu's invitation, stating, "We always follow each other's activities. And I know she's been nurturing a music project. I'm very excited about her projects and very happy to be a part of it." She also expressed concern for Chi Pu's well-being, advising her to prioritize sleep.

Chi Pu also performed her latest single, "Mirror," showcasing her evolving performance skills with a captivating live rendition accompanied by intricate choreography. The full tracklist for EXs, comprising nine songs including "Mirror," "Xung Toi," and the duet with Liu, was officially revealed. The album is set to be released on June 14, with "Tin Duoc Khong" predicted to be a major hit.
