América bids farewell to historic midfielder Jonathan dos Santos

Club América, one of Mexico's most storied football clubs, has confirmed the departure of midfielder Jonathan dos Santos. After months of speculation regarding his future, the team officially announced the end of his contract with the 'Águilas' (Eagles).

Dos Santos joined América in 2022, fulfilling what he described as his lifelong dream to play for the club he supported. Dos Santos's exit comes shortly after the departure of head coach André Jardine, who left the club under emotional circumstances. América has already moved to fill the coaching vacancy, officially appointing Uruguayan strategist Guillermo Almada.
