An Giang Police Dismantle Illegal Motorcycle Modification Workshop

Authorities in An Giang province have cracked down on an illegal motorcycle modification operation in Vinh Hau commune. The workshop, run by a 28-year-old identified as B.C.L, was found to be altering the appearance and performance of motorcycles using parts sourced from social media.

During a joint inspection on July 16, police officers from the Chau Phu Traffic Police Station, along with local commune police and Market Management Team No. 10, discovered eight motorcycles with altered designs and specifications. Numerous machinery, equipment, and spare parts used for the modifications were also seized.

B.C.L. was unable to produce registration documents for the motorcycles or invoices proving the origin of the acquired parts and equipment. He admitted to modifying vehicles according to customer requests, with the parts being purchased online.

The An Giang Provincial Traffic Police Department has transferred the case to the Vinh Hau Commune Police for further investigation and legal proceedings against the illegal modification workshop.
