Ana Belac Improving Among World Golf Elite

Slovenian golfer Ana Belac has secured her best performance of the season on the LPGA Tour, achieving a 12th-place finish at the Meijer Classic held in Belmont, Michigan.

The 29-year-old from Portorož made a significant leap on the final day of the tournament, carding an impressive round of 8-under par. She concluded the competition with a total score of 10-under par, solidifying her position among the world's elite golfers.

Belac's strong showing saw her earn nearly €44,000 in prize money. This result surpasses her previous season-best of 14th place, which she achieved at the ShopRite Classic in Galloway just two months prior. She also recorded her career-best finish at a major championship, placing 34th at the U.S. Women's Open.

Throughout her current career-best season, Belac has made the cut in six LPGA Tour events, including four consecutive tournaments. Her final round at the Meijer Classic featured nine birdies and only one bogey, resulting in a round of 64 on the par-72 course, a score matched only by the tournament winner, Miyu Yamashita of Japan.
