Anambra Council Chairman Urges Nigerians to Back Tinubu’s 2027 Re-election

Shedrack Azubuike, chairman of Orumba South Local Government Area in Anambra State, has asked Nigerians across the country’s 774 local government areas to support President Bola Tinubu’s bid for re-election in 2027.

Speaking in Awka, Azubuike pointed to the federal government’s infrastructure projects in Anambra as evidence of what he called the benefits of cooperation and constructive leadership. He said Tinubu’s relationship with Anambra Governor Chukwuma Soludo had helped the state attract federal projects, investment and development initiatives.

We are urging Nigerians to support the re-election of President Bola Tinubu in the 2027 general elections.

The projects he listed included the Second Niger Bridge and an ongoing 17-kilometre dualised access road. He also cited the approved dualisation of the 108-kilometre Otuocha-Anam-Abaji Road and the 150-kilometre Oba-Nnewi-Uga-Ihube/Okigwe Junction Road.

These projects are evidence that when the state and federal governments work together, our people stand to benefit.

Azubuike said the Benin-Asaba Expressway would be extended by nine kilometres to the Second Niger Bridge. He also mentioned the rehabilitation of the First Niger Bridge, including the replacement of vandalised structural components and the installation of solar-powered streetlights and closed-circuit television cameras.

He urged Ndi Anambra to look beyond party politics, remain united behind Soludo’s development agenda and support Tinubu’s 2027 campaign. He said continuity, cooperation and constructive engagement were necessary for sustainable development.
