Anambra FA re-elects sports journalist Ralph Chidozie George to executive board

Veteran broadcast sports journalist Ralph Chidozie George has secured another four-year term on the executive board of the Anambra State Football Association (ANSFA). His re-election for the 2026–2030 tenure was confirmed during the ANSFA Elective Congress held recently in Awka.

Mr George, who also serves as a football commentator for SuperSport TV, first joined the ANSFA board in 2020. His initial term officially began in July 2022, following the Nigeria Football Federation's recognition of the board led by Chikelue Iloenyosi. His re-election this week saw him unanimously endorsed by 23 delegates representing the state's Local Football Councils, Coaches Association, Referees Council, and Players’ Union.

He pledged to continue working with the ANSFA Chairman, Chikelue Iloenyosi, to sustain the growth and development of football in Anambra State.

Expressing gratitude for the delegates' confidence, Mr George thanked them for their support. He committed to continuing his collaboration with ANSFA Chairman Chikelue Iloenyosi to foster the growth and development of football within Anambra State. Mr George, a former chairman of the Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN) in Enugu State, emphasized his dedication to initiatives that strengthen football administration and broaden opportunities for players and stakeholders across the region.

Since his re-election, Mr George has received numerous congratulatory messages from colleagues, football administrators, players, and other stakeholders both within Nigeria and internationally. His continued presence on the board signals a commitment to sustained progress in Anambra State's football landscape.
